I created this sheet to inspire my class in designing their own key related to a story called The Key. In the story a character is gIven a key, which opens a door to another place. This is a document with an area to draw a key, followed by space to describe the key in the outline. This lead to the opportunity for some short burst descriptive writing or poetry.

This Keyhole writing template/frame was used as part of a portal story/poetry unit. there is n outline with guidelines and without. A poem imagining what could be behind the door/through the key hole was written into in. Cut around the keyhole (grey) shape.
